A muscular Pride parade participant in drag flexes their bicep from the back of a convertible full of balloons. Taken in New York City, 1985.

The 1985 NYC Pride parade was the first one "officially" attended by the mayor (Edward Koch, who attended "unofficially" in 1984). Also in attendance was Judge William Thom, New York's first openly gay judge.

Digitized from the original negative and restored.
